Warranty Policy

At Merge Screens, we stand behind our products and want you to feel confident in your purchase.

All Merge Screens products include a 1-year limited warranty from the date of delivery.

If you purchase our 1-Year Extended Warranty, your coverage is extended by an additional 1 year, for a total of 2 years of warranty coverage from the date of delivery.

1. Warranty coverage

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects and genuine product faults that occur during normal use during the warranty period.

If a product is confirmed by Merge Screens to be defective during the warranty period, we may, at our discretion:

  • troubleshoot the issue
  • provide replacement parts
  • replace the product
  • offer another reasonable solution depending on the situation

Warranty support is provided only after our team has had a reasonable opportunity to assess and troubleshoot the issue.

2. Warranty period

Standard Warranty

All products include a 1-year limited warranty from the date of delivery.

Extended Warranty

If the customer purchases the 1-Year Extended Warranty, warranty coverage is extended by 1 additional year, for a total of 2 years from the date of delivery.

The extended warranty applies only to the product it was purchased for, and only when bought in connection with that order.

3. What is covered

The warranty covers:

  • manufacturing defects
  • product malfunctions under normal use
  • genuine technical faults confirmed by Merge Screens
  • parts or components that fail under normal intended use during the warranty period

4. What is not covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • damage caused by incorrect installation
  • damage caused by misuse, abuse, mishandling, or negligence
  • damage caused by tampered wiring, modified harnesses, or altered components
  • damage caused by abnormal vehicle electrical systems, shorts, or external electrical faults
  • cosmetic damage caused after delivery or during installation
  • damage caused by third-party installers
  • labor costs for installation, removal, reinstallation, or diagnosis
  • shipping damage reported outside the required reporting period
  • products modified or altered after delivery
  • normal wear and tear
  • compatibility issues when a customer knowingly purchased a product not designed for their vehicle
  • issues caused by third-party apps, third-party software, or third-party accessories not sold by Merge Screens

5. Installation-related conditions

Because our products are aftermarket vehicle electronics, proper installation is essential.

For any warranty claim involving technical or performance issues, the customer must first allow Merge Screens a reasonable opportunity to troubleshoot the issue.

We may request:

  • photos
  • videos
  • installer feedback
  • proof of wiring and connections
  • other information reasonably necessary to assess the claim

If a customer refuses troubleshooting or does not provide the information reasonably needed to assess the issue, warranty service may be delayed or denied.

6. Installer costs and third-party work

Merge Screens does not reimburse:

  • installation costs
  • removal costs
  • diagnostic shop fees
  • reinstallation costs
  • third-party labor charges

This applies whether the installer is recommended by Merge Screens or not.

7. Replacements

If a replacement is approved under warranty, the customer may be required to return the original product first.

Merge Screens reserves the right to inspect returned products before confirming final warranty eligibility.

Any replacement product provided under warranty does not restart the original warranty period. It remains covered for the balance of the original warranty term.

8. Shipping for warranty claims

For approved warranty claims, Merge Screens will explain the return or replacement process, including any shipping arrangements that apply.

Shipping coverage, if any, will depend on the nature of the claim, the location of the customer, and the solution approved by Merge Screens.

Any taxes, duties, expedited shipping upgrades, or third-party costs are not covered unless explicitly stated otherwise.

9. Product assessment

All warranty claims are assessed by Merge Screens.

We reserve the right to inspect, test, and investigate products returned under a warranty claim to determine whether the issue is due to a manufacturing defect, normal use, installation error, external factors, misuse, or modification.

If we determine that the issue is not covered by warranty, we may deny the claim or offer a paid solution where appropriate.

10. Relationship to Refund & Return Policy

This Warranty Policy is separate from our Refund & Return Policy.

A product may be outside the return window and still be eligible for warranty support. Likewise, return eligibility does not automatically mean a product qualifies for warranty coverage.

Please refer to our Refund & Return Policy for rules relating to cancellations, returns, and refunds.
